You want to feel amazing in your body and you want to be healthier, to know that this won’t happen if you don’t build strong lifestyle habits.
Being shown the best training program or the best nutrition plan doesn’t guarantee us results. What gets us the results is taking what we have been taught and then putting it into action consistently. We can only be consistent by creating habits.
The results that you want, take consistency, effort and progress and will only get them by creating habits over time. It’s these habits that will set you up for getting and keeping them results for the rest of your life.
It’s about achieving the little wins every day that maybe unnoticed until they start to make a big impact.

‘It takes 30 days to make a habit and 90 days to make a lifestyle’
But you have to be consistent every single day. This will build up your habits. Good habits are just as hard to break as bad ones.
Examples of good habits
- Waking up and drinking a glass of water to rehydrate you.
- Scheduling which days you’re going to train and sticking to it.
- Setting aside time to prepare your lunch for the week/next day.
- Going to bed at the same time every night.
- Ensuring you get your steps in.
- For an hour a day turn off your phone and spend it with loved ones.
These might seem basic, but it’s the things you’re not doing. Don’t look for the quick fix through low cal diets and gruelling daily training programs because they aren’t sustainable. When you hit a wall because your energy is too low through low calories or you just can’t do that 6th workout this week, you will give up and this is because you haven’t got habits to keep you on track. However, creating and sticking to your habits will mean it is much harder to give them up. As soon as you realise this, you will start winning.
Once you have your habits nailed down, you are set for life.
